Founded in 1995, Heat Treating, Inc. (HTI) is an industry leading provider of welding pre-heat and post weld heat treating, combustion heat, induction heat and field machining services for the power, refining, petrochemical, pulp & paper, steel, pipeline, and other heavy industrial industries. From new construction projects, ongoing maintenance work, scheduled plant turnarounds, emergencies, and power plant outages HTI’s customers find our commitment to safety, quality, reliability, and responsiveness to be second to none.

With strategically located offices throughout the United States we are able to provide efficient and rapid “shop to field” response times. HTI employs more than a hundred field‐qualified technicians with technical training programs and a safety and quality assurance program ensuring the work is done safely and properly with adherence to the most stringent code and procedure compliance meeting our customer’s requirements in every respect with fully traceable documented work records. Our Quality Assurance Director ensures that our Q.A. – Q.C. manuals are regularly updated to meet the latest code and procedure compliance.

Our range of heating treating equipment, from manual electrical resistance heat treating machines, including 6, 9, 18 & 27 way machines to our state of the art IntelliStress® wireless heat treating systems provides the flexibility to take on any size maintenance outage job as well as new build capital projects anywhere required.

Within our combustion gas division we can provide services that include refractory dry out, process heat ups, hot holds, melt-outs, sulphate burnouts, coating cures and pressure vessel and tank PWHT. Combustion gas equipment includes single and dual gas trains with high output burners enabling us to take on nearly any combustion gas application in the world.

With our extensive experience and vast range of expertise along with our large fleet of high quality, well maintained machining equipment we can provide machining services for a wide variety of applications including cutting and beveling, flange facing, hole boring, waterwall header tube extractions, shaft turning and custom machining applications.
